In Germany, Audi has manufacturing operations at two places that are steeped in automotive tradition: Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm. This is where most of its Technical Development activities and also its numerous realms of discovery are located. These give visitors a fascinating insight into the history and philosophy of the brand with the four rings. The Audi A3 Sportback has been built at Brussels since 2007. The Audi A1 will go into production there from 2010. Around 1.9 million high-tech engines are built each year at the Hungarian plant in Györ. Audi in addition builds premium cars for the respective local growth markets of India and China at the Aurangabad and Changchun
plants.
